Map of the Han Dynasty

Han Dynasty was one of China’s Golden Ages, when developments in trade as well as natural sciences, and the arts reached new heights. Han’s strong military thinking helped the Han Empire grow to Central Asia and nearly reaching as far as our modern day Vietnam and Korea. Emperor Wu Di decided to expand the boundaries of China into Mongolia, Turkestan, Korea and even Indochina. The Chinese empire expanded to an area similar to present-day China, also the expansion to the south and west helped start the establishment of land and sea trade routes to India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
